I’ve spoken a few times of my love of cosmic horror and I think a lot of it stems from being allowed to play ‘Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem’ as a child.
That game probably still stands as one of the all time best lovecraftian horror games without being directly linked to the author and at the time of playing it I wouldn’t have even realised it.
This character, Pious Augustus, is corrupted and becomes a missionary to the ancients causing him to be the main antagonist of the story. I’ve always loved his evil centurion look.
